Monday Afternoon
I have a few minutes to kill before I punch the clock so I figured I'd drop by and say hello. Hope everyone is doing well.I talked to my friend at Fort Polk the other day. She said they got hit by the storm pretty badly and were without power. I tried calling to check on her again but "all circuits are busy" is all I can manage to get when I dial her number. It's been like that pretty much since Katrina hit and I imagine it will be hard to get through for quite some time now.
Saturday, my friend and I went to Louisville. We went to the mall of St. Matthew's and a place called Off Broadway Shoes. I bought a pair of Steve Madden pumps for work that are just too cute! They give you a coupon for your next purchase each time you buy shoes. I could easily get addicted to that...LOL!
Yesterday, I was lazy as can be. I went to the commissary, made some chicken soup and cookies for dinner and made some muffins for Jon to take to work. After that, I spent the entire day laying around reading and watching TV. It was great.
Speaking of TV, did you all watch the premier of Desparate Housewives? There aren't many shows I tried to catch this week but I did remember to watch that one. It was good but I need to rent the first season and catch up on a few episodes that I missed.
It's going to be chilly here this week. Our low for Thursday night is going to be around 45 degrees. Brrrrrrr!
