Monday Night
Hi all! Just thought I'd take a few moments to catch up before the end of the long weekend.Jessica has been off school for the last week. She went to SAS (daycare) during the day and stayed quite busy. They did a lot of projects and took the kids bowling twice, plus my friend took her roller skating. She enjoyed her time off but I think she's also ready to see her friends again.
Jon has been busy with the privates. It's been a crazy cycle so far...seems like something new pops up every day! One more week of "red phase" and then his hours will shorten up a bit again. We'll all be glad for that.
We managed to stay pretty busy this weekend. Jessica and I got the Halloween decorations up on Saturday and then we had some friends over on Saturday night. Yesterday we went shopping and today Jon had the day off so we all went up to Louisville. We hit the mall, took our friend to an appointment and had some Olive Garden for dinner. Yum!
I talked to my mom today and she said that she and my dad are going to come for Thanksgiving. They're going to swing by on their way to North Carolina. We haven't gotten to spend Thanksgiving together in 6 or 7 years so that'll be really fun!
Next weekend, the movie Elizabethtown starts playing so we'll have to go see that. Jon's got a "dining out" to go to on Saturday night (formal event for soldiers only) so I'm thinking about rounding up a couple of friends to go to a haunted house since he's not into that sort of thing. I also want to hit the Halloween store to get our costumes. Jessica's not sure what she wants to be so that trip should be an adventure for sure...LOL.
