Sunday Night
Hey, just wanted to drop in for a minute before bed to catch up with everyone. Hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving! My parents got here last Tuesday. Wednesday morning, we went to see Jon's privates graduate. We ran some errands and spent most of the rest of the day cooking. We had a really nice Thanksgiving dinner and it was great to have them here. It was the first time we've all been together for Thanksgiving in years.
Did anyone hit the stores on Friday? We didn't dare brave Louisville but we did go down to Elizabethtown. I got 6 shirts and the cutest little apron for Jessica at Old Navy for $47! I also got her some PJs, a puzzle, a CD and a little bead kit. After my parents left on Friday, my friend and I went up to Meijer's. I finally managed to find Jessica an Easy Bake Oven up there (they were sold out everywhere around here, including the PX) and I got her a My Little Pony Amusement Park as well. I've got everyone done but Jon now, plus my cards are bought and my presents are wrapped. Not bad considering it isn't even December 1st!
Jon and I decorated the outside of the house this weekend. We have icicle lights on both tiers of the roof, 2 animated bucks, 2 animated does, a snowflake, a 4' moose and a 6' tree. All are white lights. We also have pine garland with white lights wrapped around the poles and strung under the window. We have white net lights on the bushes and the yard is outlined in white. At first Jon said he was going for "Christmas Excellence." After the neighbors started adding to their decorations, we switched our game plan to "Christmas Dominance." If we plug in one more strand of lights, I'm afraid we won't have enough power to run anything else...LOL!
I'm back to work tomorrow and Jessica is back to school. Jon has another 2 days off since some people worked Thursday and Friday. I've got a potroast in the crock pot so he can sit here and play video games and stuff himself to his heart's content...LOL.
Well, I'd better head to bed. I'll TTYS! :o)
