Happy New Year!

Ah, the last post of the New Year. It sure has flown by, hasn't it?

We had a really nice Christmas. My parents came back to spend the holidays with us. I'm still trying to recover from 4 days of rich meals followed by masses of Christmas cookies...LOL!

Monday we hit the sales. The stores were mobbed but we managed to pick up a few things with our Christmas money. Jon got some "accouterments" for his truck and some xBox games, I got some new clothes and Jessica got a game and some accessories for her new Nintendo DS.

Jon and Jessica have been off this week. I've been working half days since most of our office staff is still gone for the holidays. It's been really nice to have some time off to spend with the family and get the house straightened out again. I still have to take down my tree this weekend which I am really dreading! LOL!

The other day we went to see Fun With Dick and Jane. That was really cute and I saw some previews for a couple of other movies that I want to see. I can't wait until The DaVinci Code comes out this spring!

Yesterday afternoon, one of the girls from work got married. They are having a "big wedding" in Texas next year so they just had a small civil ceremony at the house. It was really sweet though and we went out to eat after to celebrate. What a nice way for them to kick off the New Year! :o)

I think we're going to have a pretty quiet New Year's Eve tomorrow. We contemplated going out but we went to Louisville one year and it was awful so I think we're probably just going to hang out at the house. I hope everyone else has a safe and Happy New Year. I'll talk to you soon!
