Thursday Night
How has everybody been? It's been a crazy couple of weeks here as usual!Jon was on "Steel Trail Break" last week. The Drill Sergeants get 1 week off half of the way through their 2-year tour. He had a bunch of appointments, took the dogs to the vet and relaxed a bit.
The dogs are both doing good. Annie is on antibiotics for a little infection she has in her milk glands (how bizarre is that?) but other than that, the vet said she's fine. My big old girl is now weighing in at 75 pounds though so she's on a new weight loss program! LOL! Maggie weighs 37 pounds already even though she looks like skin on bone. She got her shots and a microchip so she's good to go. She's still as crazy as ever but luckily she's not destructive so I guess I should just be thankful for that!
This weekend is going to be a quiet one. Jon has 24-hour duty on Friday, Jessica has a slumber party on Saturday and Jon has duty again on Sunday. Plenty of quiet time for me! Tomorrow I'm going to pick up a new book, put Jessica to bed and soak myself in the tub. I can't wait...LOL!
I'm finally getting my own office at work. Yippee! I'm also starting to process loans which will get me a $100 bonus for each loan that I close. That'll be a nice little bonus so I'm happy about that.
Jon's got a ball coming up at the end of February. It's going to be at the Galt House in Louisville (translation - ridiculously overpriced hotel on the river). We booked a room and are going to party up in downtown Louisville when it's over. I got a gorgeous gown. It's black satin A-line with spaghetti straps. There's a slit up the front with an aqua satin insert. There are little aqua flowers and beads all around the slit and the hem. It was the first dress I tried on and it was on sale. How lucky is that?
